OFFICERS ROW HOMES   

These large, meticulously restored homes originally housed Fort McKinley's commanding officers, the post headquarters, and the schoolhouse.  Today, they can house you and your family for the vacation of a lifetime.  

The original features of these gracious Queen Anne style homes, including spacious living areas, tin ceilings, original woodwork, fireplaces, and wrap-around porches, combine with modern kitchens and tasteful decor to make these comfortable island homes a perfect choice for a memorable Maine retreat.

PARADE GROUND HOMES

Once home to one hundred enlisted men each, Fort McKinley's four barrack buildings have been beautifully renovated as modern three-bedroom townhomes.  The four units across the front of each building are now known as the Parade Ground Homes.

Situated right on Diamond Cove's picturesque Parade Ground, their rooms are spacious, with high ceilings and attractive furnishings.  The views of the Parade Ground are superb, and their huge upper and lower porches are the ideal spot to sip your morning coffee, to watch the seagulls soar overhead, or to gather for the sunset after a perfect Maine day.  

The three-bedroom Parade Ground Homes available for vacation rental are:
13D,  13E, and  17F.

In addition, one of the Parade Ground Homes has a fourth bedroom on the third floor:

SERGEANTS QUARTERS 
(THREE BEDROOMS) 

The Sergeants Quarters are set back from the Parade Ground on a quiet lane, convenient to the pool and the dock. 

These charming two-family houses, once home to Fort McKinley's non-commissioned officers and their families, offer well-equipped modern kitchens, two  porches, a private grassy yard, and most have their original tin ceilings.  There are two bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor, as well as a lovely third floor bedroom (and bath) with a large skylight conveniently situated for late night stargazing.

The three-bedroom Sergeants Quarters available for vacation rental are:
21A,  23B,  24A,  and  25A.

The PATIO HOMES are located on the quiet courtyards of the barracks buildings. Each home enjoys its own private outdoor patio with a gas grill and dining furniture - a place to unwind, and enjoy the simple pleasures of a Maine island. 

Indoors, a spacious living/dining area, a kitchen, and a half bath on the first floor offer carefree vacation living, with three comfortable bedrooms and a full bath on the second floor.
